Beyond The Engagement Ring – Bvlgari’s B.Zero1 – A Stylish Wedding Band For Daily Use

My engagement ring is gorgeous, but it is not practical for daily use.  If I wear lace, it pulls…if I wear a sweater…it pulls.  Apparently, I am clumsy and have a propensity for hitting my engagement ring on door jams, the side of my car, and even myself.  I wondered if I should get it reset into a lower profile setting, except I sure enjoy the presence of its current elevation.

I decided it was time to look for an alternative to my beauty for everyday use; however, it still had to be interesting.  I love the look of wider bands, but with my thin fingers and larger knuckles, I have always shied away.  I also knew I did not want any gemstones in my everyday band.  We searched and the battle appeared to be lost.  Every wide band I tried seemed to be a no-go.  Either I could not make a fist, or I could not type properly.

I searched forums and blogs and one ring kept appearing, Bvlgari’s B.Zero1.  I looked at it online and was intrigued, so we went and gave it a whirl.  The website indicated it was inspired by the Roman Colosseums, but the sales associate mentioned it resembled a “gas pipe” reminiscent of “Tubogas.”  I asked him what he meant, and the sales associate explained that tubogas was a gas-pipe technique that was adopted by Bvlgari from the unique shape of historical gas carrier pipes.

So, what is it?  It is a geometric marvel that is formed into a springy ring and composed of absolutely quality materials.  I selected the yellow gold five band version…

What I love is that it is substantial, beautiful, interesting, non-destructive, and functional.  It is 18K gold and knows how to take a beating.  Granted, it has some scratches now, on the other hand that is expected.  The best part is it has not scratched my face, the tint of my car windows (from hitting my window when I put my seatbelt on), or the paint on my vehicle door.   The springiness of the ring makes it a pleasure to wear.  It is wide but compresses down just enough to allow me to move my finger comfortably.  So much so that I can play fetch with my pup and type without difficulty.  It is pretty amazing.  If you place it flat on a surface, you can literally compress the ring a few millimeters!  What it amounts to is a wide ring that has give to allow you to bend your fingers and function normally.

It also looks so interesting – even without diamonds.  I get many questions and compliments on my ring.  I can’t tell you how amazed people are with the fact that it acts like a little spring.  The only downside is I have to take it off when I put lotion on my hands or if I work in the yard.  If I forget, the lotion/garden soil collects in between the coils.  Even that is no biggie as it is pretty easy to clean and maintain.

The original five-band ring was phased out, but Bvlgari reissued it.  The current version is engraved with “XX Anniversary” on the underside of the ring and costs $2,400.00.  If the five-band version is too wide for your liking, Bvlgari makes different varieties with a lesser number of bands, different golds, and various embellishments. If you are looking for a luxurious wedding or anniversary band for daily use, the Bvlgari B.Zero1 is a stylish choice. https://www.luxeaholic.com/photo-gallery/
